idea of Design

As my background idea is based on this picture as well....

I have try to come out something like that but a bit different from this picture...
So I didn't use the one colour background, I use the greeting word which I have cut from this picture as my
background.....

As I know, Christmas mascot is Santa, Christmas tree, Snow man, Christmas Gift, Christmas Bell....
So my design will put in all this kind of thing....
To make other more easier to distinguish....

AssiGnMenT 2

XmAs CaRd

1.File->New->Set as A4 size->Save as Christmas1
2.crop the greetings from the card to make it as the background pattern
 
3. Paint bucket tool-> Fill with pattern-> choose the pattern that i have make as my background
4. Brush tool->star 70pixel->change the master diameter-> paint on the background
-it become like this...

5. Custom shape tool-> choose the star shape, snowflake shape 1,2&3 to paint on the background
-it become like this

6.Place the picture of Santa, gift box, rod, snowman...
7.Layer style->blending options->play around the effect for each of the picture
8.Filter-> Filter gallery-> add filter for each of the picture
-for Santa-> add poster edges filter
-for rod-> add sprayed strokes filter
-for gift box-> add spatter filter
-for snowman-> add dark strokes filter
-it become like this


9. Illustrator CS4-> ellipse tools-> type on path tool-> type the word ''Merry Christmas''

10.Place the "Merry Christmas"
11. Layer Style->blending options-> play around the effect
-finally it become like this

12. File-> New->Set as A4 size->Save as Christmas2
13.Gradient tool->radial gradient-> paint the background as you like
14.Image->Adjustment->Curves->adjust the curve
15. Brush tool->star 70pixel->change the master diameter-> paint on the background
- it become like that

16.Place the picture of bell, Christmas tree, small Christmas tree
17. Layer style->blending options->play around the effect for each of the picture
18.Filter-> Filter gallery->add filter for each of the picture
-for bell->add sprayed strokes filter
-for big Christmas tree->add Ocean Ripple filter
-for small Christmas tree->add Under painting filter
-it become like this

 19.Illustrator CS4->Star tools->type on path tool->type the greeting word


20.Place the greeting word
21.Layer Style->blending options->play around the effect
-finally it become like this


22. File->New->set width at 297mm,and height at 210mm
23.Place the Christmas1 and Christmas2
24. Image->Adjustment->Curves->adjust the curve
Finally done...
